Eco Friendly Light Bulbs Will Environmentally Friendly Light Bulbs Ruin The Environment?

Will environmentally friendly light bulbs ruin the environment? - eco friendly light bulbs

A measure of energy efficiency is a green bomb.

The Federal Government proposes to replace the consumers in the coming years with the free light bulbs more expensive but more energy efficient and longer-lasting compact fluorescent lamps (CFL).

However, elimination of abuse of power is an environmental assessment of mercury vapor lamps and the federal government gave little information for consumers. The outlets for the safe disposal are rare and uncommon, and history teaches that the observance mixed.

"The problem occurs when the medium is replaced by the millions available and the cumulative effect of a problem. Then covered the [EPA]," said Neal Langerman, a former president of the American Chemical Society, Chemical Health and Safety Division. "If you have a municipal landfill and urban areas have a population of 450,000 homes for one or two compact fluorescent lamps per year - You do the math. Half milligrams of mercury per lamp, equivalent to an averagetonnes of mercury exposure and do not migrate into the groundwater.

Incadencents are poor because of the energy they use. However, CFLs worse, because if you will put in the trash of mercury into the environment. What a way to save the environment!

Yep. In this throwaway society, things are bound to end up in landfill sites, and at the end of mercury in the groundwater.

Finish with a generation of children have poisoned more like Gollum from Lord of the Rings.
